Here is an update on another interesting project we recently completed in Neu Ulm, Germany. The client approached us with a unique request: to transform their existing single-family house into a multi-apartment building. The challenge was to create an extension that seamlessly mirrored the existing house while adding small to medium to big three-storey apartments.
Our team approached this project with careful consideration of both function and form. Our goal was to ensure that the new design not only met the client’s requirements but also harmonized with the surrounding neighborhood. We understood the importance of maintaining the existing street scape and worked diligently to ensure that our design did not intrude or detract from its character.
To achieve this, we carefully studied the architecture language of the existing building. We paid close attention to the materials, proportions, and design elements that defined its aesthetic. By incorporating these elements into the extension, we were able to establish a visual connection between the old and the new.
However, we also recognized the need to bring a touch of modernity to the project. Currently, the project is in the process of obtaining permission plans to move forward with construction. We are working closely with local authorities to ensure that all necessary approvals are obtained, and that the project adheres to the strictest building codes and regulations.
